Underwriting Assistant

Opportunity: Underwriting Assistant, Underwriting, Public Entity in our Princeton office.

As the successful candidate in our Underwriting team, your responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting Underwriters in rating, issuing and determine terms and conditions of coverage
  • Providing assistance in preparing certificates of insurance, entry of policy renewals, endorsements, cancellations and/or submission information into underwriting systems
  • Dealing with the daily mail, faxes, and email requests from Brokers

What you bring:

  • A minimum of 1-2 years related experience preferred
  • A post-secondary education or equivalent experience
  • CIP or working towards would be an asset
  • Strong communication skills, both oral and written
  • Attention to detail, analytical and judgment skills
  • A proficiency in Microsoft Office Products
  • Organization skills to manage workflow efficiently
